From the North
Take Highway 101 south, the Paso Robles American Viticultural Area (AVA) begins as you enter into San Luis Obispo County. Many winery tasting rooms are accessible in and around our northern most town, San Miguel. The first Paso Robles exit is Highway 46 East/Fresno/Bakersfield, this road (taken east or west) can lead you to many Paso Robles wineries. Wineries and winery tasting rooms are also accessible via Highway 46 West /Cambria/Hearst Castle exit (about 3 miles south of the Highway 46 East exit). Downtown Paso Robles is accessible by using the 16th Street offramp.

From the South
Take Highway 101 North through San Luis Obispo, the Paso Robles AVA begins at the top of the Cuesta Grade in Santa Margarita. This first exit in Santa Margarita can lead you to some winery tasting rooms. As you continue north the Vineyard Street exit in Templeton can also lead you to many area wineries. Take Highway 46 West /Cambria/Hearst Castle exit to access many wineries along and off this route. Downtown Paso Robles accessible by using the Spring Street offramp.

From the East
Highways 46 and 41 lead into the Paso Robles AVA which begins to the east of Cholame and the Highway 46 / 41 convergence. Highway 46 leads directly to Highway 101 and brings you past many Paso Robles wineries along the way. Use the From the North directions above to complete your travels.

From Cambria and San Simeon
Take Highway 1 south. Three miles past Cambria will be Highway 46 (Green Valley Road), turn left going east toward Paso Robles. The Paso Robles AVA begins at the summit near York Mountain Road and brings you past a number of winery tasting rooms as Highway 46 joins with Highway 101 just south of Downtown Paso Robles. From Morro Bay
Take Highway 41 east through Atascadero to join with Highway 101. The Paso Robles AVA begins as you enter into the city limits of Atascadero. Use From the South directions above to complete your travels.
