Numerous Tasting Events Set to Showcase More Than 30 Paso Robles Wineries April 19 - 20
Paso Robles, CA (March 24, 2010) - Paso Robles Wine Country, one of the nation's premier wine producing regions, will converge on the Capitol City as part of its 2010 Grand Tasting Tour. More than 30 winemakers from California's third largest wine producing region will showcase their award-winning and nationally acclaimed wines in numerous scheduled events from April 19 - 20, including winemaker dinners, retailer wine tastings and a ticketed tasting event open to the public.
"The Grand Tasting Tour is an annual event and we are excited to bring the tour to Sacramento for the first time," said Stacie Jacob, executive director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. "The Grand Tasting Tour will bring the world of Paso Robles wines to Sacramentoâ€™s doorstep and we hope many of our wines will become staples in wine lists, cellars, shelves and homes throughout the Capitol City."

Paso Robles Winemaker Dinners

Meet winemakers and experience how the creative culinary talent of Sacramento pairs with the premium wines of Paso Robles. Several of Sacramentoâ€™s top restaurants will be participating, and showcasing a unique menu paired with Paso Robles varietals. Paso Robles Grand Tasting
Tuesday, April 20 (6 â€“ 8 PM) â€“ Sacramento Grand Ball Room
On Tuesday, April 20, wine enthusiasts of all levels will enjoy appetizers along with award-winning and nationally acclaimed wines by more than 30 Paso Robles winemakers, all under one roof. Participating wineries will showcase a sample of their portfolio that best exemplifies the over 40 varietals (and blends thereof) from Californiaâ€™s third largest wine producing region. The Grand Tasting will showcase some of Paso Robles most established wineries as well as many new labels coming out of this region. The Sacramento Grand Ball Room is located at 629 J Street in Downtown Sacramento. Tickets for this event can be purchase in advance for $45 at www.pasowine.com or for $55 at the door the night of the event. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services.
