Paso Robles, CA (March 20, 2008) The 2008 Paso Robles Wine Festival unveils its key ingredients for California's largest outdoor wine tasting event on Saturday, May 17, 2008 - featuring winemakers, chefs and artisan producers the Paso Robles Wine Festival is the region's pinnacle culinary showcase now in its 26th year. Several new components to this traditional wine tasting celebration have been added by the event's producer, the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. New sponsorship partners, multiple ticket levels, a demonstration kitchen, wine education classes and a general focus on locally grown, sustainably created products as well as a new RESERVE event now complement the more than 90 Paso Robles wineries for a complete Festival showcase.
The 2008 Wine Festival introduces multiple ticket levels, giving attendees more options to choose from with an array of times and activities. RESERVE admission, new in 2008, is the all access Wine Festival Pass. RESERVE ticket holders are invited to an intimate event on the eve of the Wine Festival featuring exclusive wines - reserve, barrel sample or library vintages â€“ and wine country cuisine. During Saturday's Wine Festival RESERVE attendees may also join winemakers at the new VIP Lounge at Hotel Chevalâ€™s Pony Club, conveniently located near the park, featuring winemakers, food and a special concierge.
Tickets - All wine tasting ticket packages include unlimited wine tasting and a commemorative Riedel tasting glass.
RESERVE - $125 - Friday RESERVE event - 4-6 p.m.; Saturday; 1-5 p.m. - Advance purchase only
PREMIUM - $75 - Saturday 1-5 p.m. - Advance purchase only
FESTIVAL - $55 - Saturday 2-5 p.m.
LOCALS ONLY - $45 - Saturday 2-5 p.m. - available to San Luis Obispo County residents, advance purchase only, deadline April 30, 2008
Designated Driver/Child $15 - Saturday 1-5 p.m. - four free non-alcoholic beverages, commemorative beverage container and entry to event area.

All tickets are limited, advance purchase is highly recommended. Free all day parking will be available at the Paso Robles Event Center with shuttles operating to and from the event site. Thanks to the new sponsorship partners, Festival organizers have incorporated new culinary aspects into the event. At the demonstration kitchen - sponsored by Idlers home appliance - attendees can hear from local chefs as they share their culinary secrets through 30 minute demonstrations. The American Lamb Board and Hearst Ranch Beef will provide sample tastes prepared at the outdoor grilling station, guaranteed to send mouth watering aromas throughout the park. Walk through Artisan alley and taste locally grown, sustainably created products from olive oil to cheese and everything in between in this cohesive environment of food - presented by Saveur Magazine and Pasolivo Olive Oil. In partnership with Wine Enthusiast Magazine two wine seminars will be lead by West Coast Editor, Steve Heimoff. FIJI Water will be featured throughout the Festival to cleanse palates during the afternoon of wine and food tasting. Food vendors will also be on hand selling specially prepared wine country cuisine.
