ROBERT HALL WINERY AWARDED BEST CALIFORNIA MERLOT & BEST MERLOT OF SOUTH CENTRAL COAST APPELLATION

Robert Hall Winery of Paso Robles, CA received the "Best California Merlot" and "Best Merlot of the South Central Coast Appellation" awards for their 2001 Merlot (Paso Robles). "Best of South Central Coast Region" and "Best of Class" honors were awarded to the Robert Hall Winery 2001 Rhone de Robles wine, a red-Rhone blend crafted by Robert Hall winemaker, Don Brady. The awards were announced Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at the California State Fair Wine Competition’s annual California Grape and Gourmet Awards Tasting.

Robert Hall Winery also received a Double Gold Medal for their 2001 Rhone de Robles blend, Gold Medal for the 2001 Merlot, Silver Medal for 2002 Chardonnay, Silver Medal for the 2001 Zinfandel and a Bronze Medal for the 2001 Syrah. Attending the event on Tuesday were Robert Hall Winery owners, Robert Hall and Margaret Burrell. The California State Fair Wine Competition features over 2,800 wines from wineries throughout California.
