Amphitheater & park coming soon.

Sylvester Winery is located off Highway 46 East in Paso Robles in a calm and tranquil setting. Amidst views of the beautiful rolling hills on the east side of Paso Robles, Sylvester Winery reminds visitors of a simpler time. Our ranch is home to Haflinger horses, imported from Austria, Navaho Chorro sheep, llamas, a donkey, geese and swans.

Sylvester Winery was built with the inspiration and under the guidance of Mr. Sylvester Feichtinger, a long time resident of Paso Robles and Los Angeles. Sylvester is actively involved in agricultural food-related businesses including Peacock Cheese; an international gourmet foods importer, 97 acres pistachios orchards, 40 organic acres of pomegranate and wine grape vineyards.

Sylvester is a graduate of the Ackerbau and Obstbau Schule in Ritzlhof, Austria. Early in his career he became a winemaker specializing in the production of fruit wines. The first vineyard at the Sylvester property was planted in 1982. The winery itself was established in 1995. Sylvester, however, has been involved in the wine business since the early 1990s. The building of his own facility has been a dream of his for quite some time.

The setting at Sylvester Winery is both eclectic and unique. A pre-1947 luxurious streamliner railway sleeper and observation train cars are on display among the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards. Visitors may ponder the question how such elegant trains of the past years have come to rest in the premium vineyards of Paso Robles. The answer seems to remain a secret only to be known by a few members of the Sylvester Winery staff.

These Pullman train cars act as the backdrop for Sylvester's 50,000 square foot Wine Park & Event Canter. This wine park is available for public and private events. Many of the wineries events in lcuding festival dinners and summer concert series take place here. Sylvester's wine park is the perfect place for a romantic vineyard wedding of any size.
