Record Family Wines » Profile
Record Family Wines opens another chapter in the long history of the Record Family’s association to California agriculture. With ties to the Central Coast going back three generations, the extensive history and rich culture of Paso Robles embody the ideal setting for the latest generation to continue the farming tradition. For us, farming has never been and will never be a hobby; we derive great pleasure through the production and consumption of food, and now wine.
Since the early 1900’s, our family has been actively involved in the farming community in Southern California. From dairy cows to row crops, the Record family has continued the tradition through five generations. Women have always played an important role in our family, from supportive wives and mothers to holding positions and working on the family farm. Our label symbolizes the responsibility women have held and will continue to carry on through future generations of the Record Family’s agricultural heritage.
Situated on 100 acres of land in San Miguel, Paso de Record Vineyard is the foundation and source for Record Family Wines. Planted to Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre and Viognier vines, we choose the best fruit our vineyard produces each year to bottle under our label. Our intention is to create wines that are representative of the place the grapes come from. We want to showcase our fruit and, ultimately, create a product we are proud to share and enjoy with our family and friends.
