We craft artisan wines from our own vineyards on the west side of Paso Robles. Here, we are blessed with a remarkable combination of Linne Calodo soil rich with calcareous lime deposits, sun-kissed hillsides and refreshing ocean breezes that cascade through a unique gap in the coastal mountains. JanKris wines naturally reflect the rare beauty and balance of this unparalleled terroir.

The Veris Cellars tasting room occupies a historic Victorian home built in 1892. Newly planted gardens unfold in waves of color across the property. Two patios and an arbor showcase the property's stunning vineyard views, making Veris Cellars one of Paso Robles' most memorable wine tasting and special event experiences.

The Veris Cellars estate enjoys the distinction of being the region's most photographed winery property. In addition to the main estate, we own two other local vineyards for a total of 120 vineyard acres. We focus on varietals that excel in these vineyards, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Syrah and Viognier. We also craft three proprietary red blends called Crossfire, Riatta and Picaro. Recent plantings include Pinot Noir, Grenache and Tempranillo.

JanKris Wines Brand was founded in 1990 and helped establish Paso Robles as one of California's most dynamic wine regions. In early 2008, the winery was acquired by local entrepreneur and wine enthusiast Matthew Talbert, who immediately launched a new era for the winery. Talbert initiated sweeping improvements in the winery's event facilities, winemaking program and viticultural practices.
