Niner Wine Estates proprietors, Richard and Pam Niner, believe that a blend of exceptional people, vineyards, tools, and ideas is the key to creating world-class wines and providing a unique wine country experience. Founded in 2001, Niner Wine Estates is dedicated to producing estate-grown wines from the premier wine-growing regions of Paso Robles and Edna Valley.

Niner Wine Estates owns and operates three estate vineyards: Bootjack Ranch located on the east side of Paso Robles, Heart Hill Vineyard located on the west, and Jespersen Vineyard located in the Edna Valley wine-growing region. Both Bootjack Ranch and Heart Hill Vineyard are SIP (Sustainability in Practice) Certified.

Niner Wine Estates produces estate-grown, hand-crafted Bordeaux, Rhone, Burgundy and Italian varietal wines and blends. Vineyard Manager, Jason Yeager, focuses on achieving sugar and flavor development concurrently in order to deliver fruit of optimal ripeness and quality to the winery. From this fruit, Winemaker Amanda Cramer crafts wines of excellent varietal character, flavor expression, structure and balance.

The family of wines has grown to include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sangiovese, as well as limited-production offerings of Albariño, Sangiovese Rosato, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Grenache and Petite Sirah. Also included in the portfolio are several proprietary blends: Twisted Spur, Square Root, Super Paso and the award-winning flagship wine, Fog Catcher.

The Heart Hill property, home to our hospitality center and LEED-Silver (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified production winery, is named for a large grove of oak trees growing in the shape of a heart on one of its rolling hillsides. Heart Hill is located on Highway 46 West, near the western edge of the Paso Robles Viticulture Area.

Niner Wine Estates hosts a variety of events throughout the year. From monthly chef-taught cooking classes and wine education seminars to weekend wine and cheese flights and live music on our spacious outdoor patio, guests can enjoy a fun, educational and gracious way of living in wine country.
