My Itinerary:

VINEYARD PROFILES

Whalebone Winery

Overview
Planted in 1989 with Cabernet Sauvignon Estrella Clone 8, the vineyard lies at 1800 feet with fossil laden limestone soils, 8 miles from the ocean. It's not luck but the terroir that promotes production of our superb grapes. Whalebones unearthed when ripping the rocky soils while planting our vineyard led us to our name.
