Privacy Policies

The terms of this privacy policy govern all interactions with PRWCA, whether through our PRWCA’s website or email, by telephone or fax or by mail. A link to our privacy policy can be found on our home page and on web pages where information is collected from Users and Members. When you use our website or communicate with us by email, fax phone or mail, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.

This privacy policy does not apply to the practices of companies PRWCA does not own or control, or of persons that we do not employ or manage, including any third-party content contributors and any third-party websites to which our websites link.

Information Collection and Use

PRWCA may ask for business contact information, including, without limitation, first and last name, e-mail addresses, telephone and facsimile numbers, and physical addresses, as well as interests pertaining to its Members or website Users (“Users”). PRWCA will also use this information for customer service and account management purposes, including to reply to your inquiries, to provide you with requested products and services, to set up your account, and to contact you.

We collect non-personally-identifying information that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our websites. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the website.

By providing your name, mailing address, email, and interests to the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance (PRWCA) when selecting “Request Brochure & Map”, you are requesting we send you promotional materials. We reserve the right to keep your address on file, mail you future promotional materials, and share your mailing address with destination travel partners. We do not intend to bombard you with excessive amounts of junk mail. We will not sell your information. However, in addition to the Brochure & Map, you may get additional information about Paso Robles from the PRWCA or any of our partners.

Opting In/Opting Out

In certain places on printed documents or on our website (for example, when registering as a user of our website, managing your membership account, shopping, or participating in activities like promotional contests), we may ask you to consent to the sharing of your information with other Members or third parties with which we have business relationships. If you provide such consent (for example, by checking a box or by some other means), we will make your information available to such third parties as described in the consent form so that they, we, or both may contact you directly regarding special offers, promotions, products or services that may be of interest to you.

If you register on our website as a user or become a Member of PRWCA, you will have the opportunity to review or update the information you have provided us at any time. You also have the option of deleting all information except for your email address. If you would like to completely deactivate your account, please contact us. Please note, however, that if you deactivate your account, you will not receive any newsletters from us and you will not be able to participate in any of our sweepstakes or contests. You agree that, subject to applicable law, we may use your information to contact you for customer service, to inform you of important changes or additions to your account or the services we offered to Members and to send you administrative notices or any communications relevant to your use of our Service.

If you have subscribed to one of our email newsletters, you will always have the opportunity to unsubscribe from future mailings (for example, by clicking on an unsubscribe link in an email newsletter or by modifying your account settings).

How We Use Cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

Do Not Track Disclosures

Some web browsers may transmit “do-not-track” (“DNT”) signals to mobile applications with which Members and Users communicate. We currently do not change our tracking practices (which are explained in more detail under “How We Use Cookies” above) in response to DNT settings in your Web browser.

Our third-party partners, such as Web analytics companies and third-party ad networks, may collect information about you and your online activates over time and across our Services and other online properties. These third parties may not change their tracking practices in response to DNT settings. We utilize Google Analytics for our Web analytics and you can opt-out of your usage data being included in our Google Analytics reports by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

PRWCA does not solicit personally identifying information from children. Users who are under 21 years of age cannot attend PRWCA events and should not submit any personally identifying information to the PRWCA website.
