Brian Storrs and Larry Gomez join Wild Horse Winery & Vineyards


Wild Horse Winery & Vineyards in Templeton, CA, announces two new additions to the Wild Horse team. Brian Storrs joins Wild Horse as the National Sales & Marketing Manager and Larry Gomez as Associate Winemaker/Production Manager. Both positions are effective immediately.

Brian comes to Wild Horse from Brown-Forman Wines, where he held the position of Western States Regional Marketing Manager for Fetzer Vineyards, and McPherson Wines of Australia. He will utilize his background in implementing regional and national promotions and developing successful partnerships to initiate and support Wild Horse sales and marketing campaigns. As National Sales & Marketing Manager, Brian will also be the direct contact for communication between the national marketing company, Wilson Daniels, Ltd., the associated wholesaler network, and the winery.

Brian’s experience includes regional sales, national accounts and marketing positions with Robert Mondavi Winery and Beringer Wine Estates. He began his career in the wine industry as Cellar Manager at Meridian Vineyards. Brian holds a B.S. Degree in Agicultural Business Management, Wine Marketing from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

Larry Gomez adds his expertise as Associate Winemaker/Production Manager to the team at
Wild Horse. He formerly held the position of Associate Winemaker/General Manager at the Paso Robles Facility of J.Lohr Winery. Prior to that, he was the Winemaker at Lockwood Vineyard in
San Lucas, CA.

With a B.S. Degree in Fruit Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a Masters Degree in Agricultural Chemistry/Enology from California State University, Fresno, Larry will help direct research and quality assurance for the diverse Wild Horse wine portfolio. His scope of knowledge and experience will play an important role in continuing the wine quality tradition at Wild Horse.
