ASUNCION RIDGE AWARDED SILVER AND BRONZE MEDALS BY SUNSET MAGAZINE
Small Westside Producer of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc Gains National Attention

Asuncion Ridge Vineyards and Inn was awarded a Silver Medal for its 2009 Pinot Noir and a Bronze Medal for its 2011 Sauvignon Blanc by Sunset Magazine in the 2012 International Wine Competition.
Established in 2000, Asuncion Ridge Vineyards is a boutique winery producing about 1500 cases per year, mostly Estate Pinot Noir and red blends made with Bordeaux and Rhone varietals. 2011 is the first Sauvignon Blanc produced by winemaker Philip Krumal and is made from grapes sourced both from his 320 acre property and local Westside vineyards. The 2009 Pinot Noir continues a tradition of award-winning Pinot Noir made with a nod to both Burgundian and New World styles.
“Making world-class wine fulfills a long time dream and I am really humbled by the recognition,” winemaker Krumal said.
Asuncion Ridge Vineyards and Inn are located in the Paso Robles Region of California’s central coast at an elevation of 2000 feet and just a few miles from the sea, with a cool climate perfect for producing world class Pinot Noir and other grapes that prefer cooler weather. The Tasting Room is located in the heart of downtown Paso Robles at 725 12th Street, in the historic Paso Robles Rexall Drug building, and is open Thursday through Monday. Asuncion Ridge wines are available through the Tasting Room as well as online. For more information, visit the Asuncion Ridge web site at www.AsuncionRidge.com
