EBERLE TAKES TOP HONORS IN 2011 WINE COMPETITIONS
SEPTEMBER 2011—(PASO ROBLES, CA)—Eberle Winery is proud to announce its results from the major wine competitions of 2011. According to the California Grapevine, which keeps track of all medals won by participating wineries, Eberle Winery ranked among the top 4 for four different categories when judged against thousands of other wines from around the world. In many competitions, Eberle ranked higher than most other wineries several times its size.
Out of the 15 major wine competitions in the USA (of which Eberle entered 13) and thousands of wines judged blind by some of the top winemakers and sommeliers in the world, Eberle Winery is celebrating a huge accomplishment given the size of its winery at 27,000 cases a year.
According to the California Grapevine, Eberle rated:
-4th highest award winning Cabernet Sauvignon, 2008 Eberle
Cabernet Sauvignon ($19)
-3rd highest award winning Zinfandel, 2008 Eberle Zinfandel ($24)
-2nd highest award winning Muscat Canelli, 2010 Eberle Estate Muscat Canelli ($14)
-Highest award winning white Rhone blend, 2009 Eberle Côtes-du-Rôbles Blanc ($24)
Eberle Winery is currently celebrating 33 years of fine winemaking in Paso Robles, CA. Owner Gary Eberle helped create the Paso Robles AVA and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance and the California Wine Institute. All wines produced at Eberle Winery are grown in Paso Robles and aged in oak barrels in 17,000 square feet of underground caves.
