PASO ROBLES WINE COUNTRY ALLIANCE AND 15 DEGREES C SHOWCASE SLO COUNTY WINES AT THE MID-STATE FAIR
Mission Square Wine Bar to Feature Wine Flights, Wines by the Glass, Beer, Cheese and Olive Oil

The Paso Wine Country Alliance is working with 15 Degrees C Wine Shop & Bar to showcase San Luis Obispo County Wines at the Mission Square Wine Bar during the California Mid-State Fair, July 20 - 31, 2011. Fair goers are invited to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the fair and then stop by and enjoy a glass of wine or draft beer in the shade. Throughout the duration of the Fair, Mission Square will feature seven award-winning Paso Robles wines by the glass, 12 different daily wine flights from the Central Coast Wine Competition Award winners as well as a selection of beer, various cheeses and olive oils.

“As a certified sommelier and owner of 15c, we paired up with the Wine Alliance to bring our most important agricultural product, wine, to fairgoers to taste in daily flights or to enjoy by the glass,” said Ali Carscaden, owner of 15 Degrees C Wine Shop & Bar. “We have also taken our signature 15c cheese plates and are offering award-winning olive oils, local artisan bread, fresh fruit and three local cheeses to pair with your wine. For a unique experience and education come visit us at the Mission Square.”

Mission Square will feature a new wine flight each day focused on different varietals and themes from the Central Coast Wine Competition award winners. Flights include everything from Syrah and Spanish whites, to Chardonnay and Zinfandel demonstrating the diversity of wines produced in San Luis Obispo County. Special guest appearances will be made from the winemaker personalities themselves from 5 – 7 p.m. every day. Mission Square guests are encouraged to taste through the wine flights and chat with the winemakers. Visit www.pasowine.com to sneak a peek of the wineries and wines featured.

In addition to the 12 wine flights included, seven award-winning Paso Robles wines will be available by the glass within the Mission Square. Additionally a selection of specialty beers, local cheese and olive oil samples will be available daily to complement these featured wines. The friendly and knowledgeable staff from 15 Degrees C will be on hand to discuss and answer any questions about these award-winning wines and delectable treats.

The Mission Square Wine Bar is located within the California Mid-State Fairgrounds between commercial buildings I and II. It will be open daily during the fair, July 20 – 31, 2011 from 12 – 10 p.m. Experience wines by the glass, daily wine flights, beer, local cheese and olive oil. Stay tuned on the Krush 92.5 Radio who will be broadcasting “Live in the Fair Vines,” showcasing a daily winery from 4 – 6 p.m. Details on the 2011 California Mid-State Fair including directions are available www.midstatefair.com.
