SATISFY YOUR CRAVING AND DISCOVER THE ULTIMATE PASO ROBLES WINE INDUSTRY TRENDS
Tickets to CRAVE - Friday, October 22 are now Available on www.pasowine.com

Paso Robles, CA (September 15, 2010) Tickets to uber-chic wine tasting, CRAVE – A Paso Robles Wine Experience, are now on sale at www.pasowine.com. This popular event, geared toward the next generation of wine enthusiasts, is taking place Friday, October 22, 2010 from 7:30 – 10 p.m. at the Veteran’s Hall in San Luis Obispo. In 2010, CRAVE upholds a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, with a revamped layout, creating more room for wine enthusiasts to taste. The most exciting development is the introduction of new wine bars focused on the consumer’s CRAVING: industry trends.

“Our CRAVE audience, also known as the ‘millennial,’ has proven exceptionally wine savvy and has shown an interest in trends surrounding the industry,” said Stacie Jacob, executive director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. “This year the educational component has been taken a step further; in addition to offering traditional varietal bars such as Rhône Whites, Rosés, Rhône Reds and Unique Paso Blends, CRAVE wine bars have been further specified including No Oak Distinct Whites, Estate/Vineyard Designate Zinfandels, Sustainable Distinct Reds and Cabernet Sauvignons under $20.”

In addition to these wine bar novelties, event producers have reformatted the event space allowing more freedom for wine enthusiasts to taste, stroll and enjoy. The Veteran’s Hall exterior and foyer will be utilized and a cooling system will be implemented keeping CRAVE goers fresh to taste from more than 40 wineries within eight wine bars. The evening is complemented by food pairings from the finest restaurants and caterers in San Luis Obispo County. New in 2010, CRAVE entertainment showcases live music from TROPO. This San Luis Obispo band specializes in down-tempo and electronic ambient rock, a popular musical genre featured at many night clubs.

Thanks to The Grapeline Wine Country Shuttle, various safe rides will be offered free of charge. A safe ride from Downtown Paso Robles, to and from the Veterans Hall in SLO will be available. In addition, three drop-off spots will be offered throughout the evening, including to the Cal Poly Student Union, Laguna Shopping Center and Downtown SLO. Responsible tasting is also an important element of CRAVE. Practice of the Four Ss of Responsible Tasting -- swirl, smell, sip, spit -- is a valuable way for wine enthusiasts to experience and understand each wine from first taste to last. This practice is encouraged and essential to make the most of this Paso Robles wine experience.

Tickets are $45 presale and $55 at the door, and include an evening of unlimited tasting, food pairings, as well as a commemorative glass made by Riedel. Be sure to follow Paso Robles Wine on Twitter and become a fan on Facebook to stay updated on CRAVE features and exciting offers. Attendees are also encouraged to “check in” on the latest social networking craze, foursquare. Become friends with Paso Wine to find tips on Paso Robles winery events as well as tips on how you can win CRAVE tickets.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.pasowine.com or at 800.549.WINE (9463). Photo identification verifying age will be required at time of entry. Tickets are limited, and advance purchase is highly recommended, as CRAVE has a history of selling out in advance. Free parking will be available at the Veterans Hall Parking lot.
