Paso Robles, CA (February 19, 2010) The 18th Annual Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival, March 19 â€“ 21, 2010 offers thrilling enhancements perfect for all Zinfandel enthusiasts. The Zin Tasting & Wine Country Auction Saturday, March 20, 2010, features a wealth of fresh activities including an integrated Wine Country Auction, Chocolate & Port Parlor, Plaza Lounge, Chef Demonstrations and more Zinfandel producers and local wine country chefs than ever before. The best of Paso Robles is showcased during the Zin Tasting &Wine Country Auction, sure to satisfy all Zinfandel Festival attendees.
â€œPaso Robles Wine Country is answering the Zinfandel loversâ€™ demand for a zintastic walk-around tasting, filled with mouth-watering zins, zin-friendly bites and zin inspired activities,â€ said Stacie Jacob, executive director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. â€œThe evening highlight is the focused, Wine Country Auction showcasing one-of-a-kind lifestyle packages integrated within winery pouring booths, allowing enthusiasts to taste their favorite Paso Robles Zinfandel, and take home their favorite Paso Robles wine packages.â€
The Wine Country Auction features auction lots procured by Paso Robles winemakers and proprietors themselves. Rare auction items include wine tasting retreats, dinners with Paso Robles producers, VIP tours, seminars and special large format bottles signed by the winemakers. Funds raised through this auction will be gifted back into the local community through organizations that support healthcare, education and greater community services.
The Wine Country Auction is only one of the many components featured during the Saturday Zin Tasting. Nearly 60 Zinfandel producers and 20 local restaurants and caterers converge at the Paso Robles Event Center, showcasing their tasty treats and premium Zinfandel and Zinfandel blend wines. Several of Pasoâ€™s finest chefs share their secrets through demonstrations at the new Wine Plaza Kitchen within the event space. The decadent Chocolate & Port Parlor features Paso Robles Port and dessert style wines and chocolate from Brown Butter Cookie Company, Herman Chocolates, M&Mâ€™s, Morro Bay Mud Fudge, NewTree and Sweet Earth Organic Chocolate. The Plaza Lounge, within the Mission Courtyard, provides attendees the opportunity to enjoy a variety of cigars completing their Zinfandel Festival experience.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.pasowine.com. A limited amount of ZIP and Zin Fan Del tickets will be available at the door, provided they are not sold out. Tickets are limited and advance purchase is highly recommended. Must be 21 and older; photo identification verifying age will be required at time of entry.

â€¢ Zin Fan Del Entrance - $60 - Saturday - 7- 9:30 p.m. Enjoy a cosmic selection of Zinfandel and Zinfandel blends and take home a piece of Paso at the Wine Country Auction.
