RESERVE BRINGS A NEW LEVEL OF EXCITEMENT TO THE PASO ROBLES WINE FESTIVAL
26th Annual Event is May 16 - 18, 2008

Paso Robles, CA (May 8, 2008) - The 2008 Paso Robles Wine Festival presents - RESERVE - a new event to kick-off the 26th annual festival. RESERVE provides wine enthusiasts a unique opportunity to taste Paso Robles reserve, library and barrel sample wines and enjoy a few value-added features during the Saturday Festival. RESERVE takes place from 4 - 6 p.m. on Friday, May 16 in the Downtown City Park where more than 70 Paso Robles reserve, library or barrel sample wines will be featured along with complementary wine country cuisine. On Saturday, May 17 RESERVE ticket holders begin tasting at 1 p.m. (one hour earlier than Festival admission) and are encouraged to relax in the comfort of the VIP Lounge located within Hotel Cheval's Pony Club. RESERVE tickets are $125 per person and available by advance purchase only on www.pasowine.com or by calling 800-549-WINE (9463).

"RESERVE kicks off the Festival weekend and showcases some of the most rare and hard to find wines from the Paso Robles AVA," said Stacie Jacob, Executive Director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. "This event enhances the Wine Country experience offering guests a personal touch."

A limited number of RESERVE tickets are available for this epicurean experience. RESERVE admission offers the wine enthusiast more one-on-one time with winery representatives, sommeliers and other members of the Paso Robles wine community scheduled to attend. Wines showcased are unique to this component of the Festival and are different than wines featured at the Saturday event. Tasty bites will be provided by McPhee's Grill, Matthew's, Villa Creek, Paso Robles Inn and Steakhouse and Vivant Cheese. These stand-out purveyors of Wine Country Cuisine are sure to provide samples equal to the premium wines showcased. The event's early start and end time is designed to complement the Friday evening line up of various winemaker dinners and individual events at the area wineries and local restaurants.

On Saturday, May 17 more than 90 wineries will be sampling wines in the park from their diverse portfolios beginning at 1 p.m. for RESERVE and Premium ticket holders. The Pony Club at Hotel Cheval will serve as an exclusive VIP Lounge throughout the day open to RESERVE guests, wine festival sponsors and winemakers only. Light hors d'oeuvres, special wines and non-alcoholic refreshments will be served in this comfortable retreat from the park. Also exclusive to RESERVE guests is a unique concierge service set to provide intelligence for wine enthusiasts looking to enhance their Paso Robles Wine Country experience.

Tickets to RESERVE as well as the Premium and Festival ticket levels are currently available on www.pasowine.com or by calling 800-549-WINE (9463). RESERVE and Premium admission is available by advance purchase only and will not be available for purchase the day of the event. Event hours are 1 - 5 p.m. for RESERVE and Premium ticket holders; 2 - 5 p.m. for Festival ticket holders. Designated driver and child tickets are $15. Sunday, May 18 completes the festival weekend with individual events at over 100 of the area wineries.
