NEW LOCALS PASS NOW AVAILABLE FOR 2008 PASO ROBLES WINE FESTIVAL
Discounted Ticket Price for San Luis Obispo County Residents Only

Paso Robles, CA (April 1, 2008) - The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance is offering a discounted admission to the 26th Annual Paso Robles Wine Festival (Saturday, May 17) for San Luis Obispo County residents. The Festival Pass, a $55 ticket, is being offered to San Luis Obispo County residents for $45. The new Locals Pass is available by advance purchase only until Wednesday, April 30, 2008. There is no limit to the number of tickets purchased at this "Locals" price. San Luis Obispo County residents may purchase their Wine Festival tickets by visiting www.pasowine.com or calling 800-549-WINE.

Since the Paso Robles Wine Festival's inception in 1983 the local community has been the foundation of the Wine Festival's success. From the hundreds of volunteers who help work the event, to those who come for the enjoyment of the wines, to the wineries themselves, the Wine Festival demonstrates the spirit of the local community. The growing popularity of Paso Robles wines in the regional, national and international marketplace boosts the limelight of the region, positioning the Wine Festival as a premier wine and food event. This popularity brings thousands of guests to the area who stay in hotels, dine in restaurants, shop in stores, and take home an experience that becomes shared with others. This positive experience comes from their interactions with the locals of Paso Robles Wine Country and San Luis Obispo County and we thank you for your continued support.

"The new Locals Pass is in a way a 'Thank you' to our fellow residents for their support of the Paso Robles Wine Festival over the years," said Alex Villicana, Paso Robles Wine Festival Committee co-chair and owner/winemaker of Villicana Winery. "In recent years the Festival has evolved into a wine and culinary showcase and we are excited for many locals to rediscover the Paso Robles Wine Festival!"

New this year to the festival is an enhanced culinary theme with a Demonstration Kitchen, an expanded Artisan Alley, wine seminars, and other elements that truly bring together the epicurean delight of food and wine. The unlimited tasting format continues in 2008 where wine enthusiasts receive a commemorative Riedel crystal glass with the price of admission. More than 85 wineries will be showcasing their wines beginning at 2 p.m. and concluding at 5 p.m. Two bands are set to perform on two stages located at opposite ends of the park. Local food vendors will sell specially created wine country cuisine and complimentary Fiji Water will be featured to cleanse the palate. A free park & ride shuttle to the event site is available beginning at 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. from the Paso Robles Event Center parking lot. Visit www.pasowine.com for more event information.

The Locals Pass is only available by advance purchase and only available until April 30. A San Luis Obispo County zip code that matches with the credit card billing statement is all that is needed to redeem the discounted rate. Call 805-239-8463 or visit www.pasowine.com for more information including the other levels of admission currently on sale.
