Moscato Allegro -
"-- What it is: Muscat Canelli is a white
wine grape usually made into semi-sweet
to sweet wine. The Allegro is partially
fermented to 7 percent alcohol, which
leaves a bit of residual sugar. The inviting
floral perfume can be a bit dreamy, but is
not at all frivolous. Light, delicate flavors
of apricot and ripe Bosc pear in the wine
work as an aperitif or a less-filling
conclusion to a rich holiday meal.
