Final Performance Will Feature Six Unsigned Bands Vying For A Record Contract and Stardom

Paso Robles, CA (September 28, 2007) - The final concert of the summer-long Winery Music Awards competition among independent music artists will be broadcast live around the world on the Internet at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 7. The show will originate at River Oaks Hot Springs & Spa in Paso Robles and be the first central coast concert video-streamed live over the Internet. Semi-final performances ran once a month from June to September at various wineries within Paso Robles wine country and were judged by a panel of professionals in the music, entertainment and wine industries in the categories of originality, musicianship and marketability to the prime wine-consuming market. Of the pool of twenty industry judges for the 2007 competition, some notable names from the music industry include Jon Anderson, of the legendary rock group, YES; Antonia Bennett, jazz singer and daughter of the great Tony Bennett; and Jake Hooker, composer one of rocks greatest hits of all time, I Love Rock and Roll. Also on the judge’s panel from the Paso Robles wine community is Cynthia Lohr with J.Lohr Vineyards & Wines, David Hunt of Hunt Cellars and Christopher Taranto, Communications Manager with the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance.

Hosts Andrew Firestone, General Manager of Firestone Winery in Paso Robles, and once featured on TVs The Bachelor, and Janie Terrazas, a Los Angeles-based TV personality and model, keep audiences entertained at each show with their personable charm, quick wit and engaging humor. The host for webcast interviews with judges, artists, winemakers and audience members will be model and film actress, Cheryl Dent.

Out of twenty semi-finalists of the 2007 competition among independent artists from the US and Canada, the six artists who qualified to perform on October 7 are: Shannon Curtis from Los Angeles, CA; Dominic Castillo & The Rock Savants of San Luis Obispo, CA; Amber Norgaard of Tucson, AZ; Debra Arlyn of Portland, OR; Holiday & The Adventure Pop Collective of San Diego; CA and Machine from Templeton, CA. The Winery Music Awards Competition: Founded and produced by Kathy Kelly Productions, Inc., the competition was created out of the growing popularity of quality musical performances at many wineries throughout California. Attendees enjoy fine wine, gourmet food and quality original music in a variety of genres surrounded by rows of vineyards and stacks of wine barrels. The Winery Music Awards competition is a Paso Robles, CA-based showcase open to original music artists from the US and Canada, independent and unsigned with major record labels. Its four monthly semi-final concert competitions began in June. Twenty artists out of nearly 100 who entered the competition qualified to compete in the 2007 semi-final rounds.
