PASO ROBLES HOSTS TASTING BY VARIETY IN SEATTLE ON JUNE 5
Event at Palace Ballroom is opportunity to taste current releases

PASO ROBLES, Calif. (May 3, 2007) – The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance 2007 Grand Tasting Tour makes its final stop in Seattle on Tuesday, June 5. Eighteen brands will showcase current releases from the Paso Robles American Viticulture Area (AVA) at the Palace Ballroom (2100 5th Avenue). This special tasting, organized by wine variety, gives the wine trade an opportunity to taste the different varieties produced in Paso Robles and understand the distinct characteristics of the region. Seminars along with a self guided tasting are scheduled throughout the day.

"Paso Robles is bringing its current wine releases to the Seattle market to help decision makers better understand California’s fastest growing wine region," said Stacie Jacob, executive director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. "Paso Robles is a unique California region and should be included in the choices for wine consumers."

All interested wine professionals are invited to discover the growing Paso Robles wine region in Seattle on Tuesday, June 5 at the Palace Ballroom from 2:30 – 6 p.m.

Hear from Paso Robles winemakers and learn how the region is well suited for producing premium wines. Taste wines produced from the region’s diverse soils combined with warm days and cool nights, making the Paso Robles AVA optimal for growing more than 40 wine varieties.

Variety Tasting For Trade and Media Exclusively: 2:30 – 6 p.m.
You will have the opportunity to taste the wines of Paso Robles by variety and get a unique perspective on the region. Organized by wine variety, the tasting features more than 100 current releases from California’s fastest growing wine region. A few new brands are looking to find distributors.
