PASO ROBLES WINE COUNTRY LAUNCHES NEW AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
“The Cluster” Gives Enthusiasts an Inside Track to Paso Robles Events and Information

PASO ROBLES, CA— On Friday, September 1, 2006 at 8 a.m. PST, the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance will open subscriptions for founding membership in The Cluster, the region’s new ambassador benefit program, to enthusiasts of Paso Robles wines. The program offers a host of benefits—most notably discount advance tickets to the region’s three annual events and a quarterly newsletter with industry insider information—and provides members with tools they can use to serve as ambassadors for Paso Robles Wine Country.

"It’s a lot like a wine club," said Stacie Jacob, Executive Director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. "Except that there’s no wine shipments to pay for down the road. Instead, we’re going to give you a special place in Paso Robles Wine Country, exclusive information, discount event tickets and a box of Paso Robles Wine Country goodies."

Annual membership in The Cluster is $100, and 2006 founding membership subscriptions are limited to the first 100 registrants and include free entry for one person to SIP: Paso Robles Wine Country on October 20, the region’s new educational event focused on the distinct, different characteristics of Paso Robles wines. Other benefits exclusive to founding membership subscribers include two commemorative Riedel glasses and recognition on the region’s Web site, pasowine.com. Rounding out the annual membership benefits are:
• Quarterly email newsletters with insider information and special offers from Paso Robles Wine Country members
• Access to members-only educational programs about Paso Robles Wine Country
• Discount advance tickets to Paso Robles Wine Country events:
o FREE ENTRY into SIP: Paso Robles, October 20, 2006 (exclusive for 2006 founding members)
o Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival, March 17, 2007
o Paso Robles Wine Festival, May 19, 2007
• Cluster shirt
• The Official Paso Robles Ambassador Kit:
o Background packet with information about winemaking and wine grape growing in Paso Robles
o 150 personalized pasowine cards that can be shared with friends, family, restaurants and retailers
o 50 Paso Robles Wine Country brochures to share with friends and family
o Tips on how to encourage local restaurants and retailers to carry favorite Paso Robles wines
• Two commemorative Riedel glasses (exclusive for 2006 founding members)

"The goal is to arm folks with industry insider information and exclusive tools so they help spread the word about what’s happening in Paso Robles Wine Country," Jacob said. "The Cluster will be influencers of our region who will have a chance to provide feedback and help shape the future of Paso Robles Wine Country."

Subscriptions and more information about The Cluster are available through the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance Web site, pasowine.com, or by calling 800.549.WINE.
