PASO ROBLES WINE MONTH PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED
Costco and Cost Plus World Market to feature Paso Robles wines during May

PASO ROBLES, CA — Beginning Friday, May 12, Costco in San Luis Obispo will host three days of Paso Robles winemaker bottle signings to promote Paso Robles Wine Month. In 2005 May was officially designated as Paso Robles Wine Month in recognition of the area’s largest agricultural product. This year the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance has partnered with major retail outlets Costco and Cost Plus World Market to promote Paso Robles Wine Month through featured wines, point-of-sale materials and special winemaker events.

"We are very excited about these retail partnerships celebrating Paso Robles Wine Month," said Stacie Jacob, executive director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. "The region has never done anything like this before, and it’s a program we hope to build and expand in future years as Paso Robles’ wines gain more recognition in the marketplace."

Costco in San Luis Obispo will feature three days of bottle signings hosted by eight Paso Robles winemakers, as well as Paso Robles Wine Country information, including a 4-foot-by-5-foot map of the region which will remain on display permanently in the store and brochures for the upcoming Paso Robles Wine Festival weekend, May 19 through 21.
