LOCAL WINEMAKERS GET GRILLIN’ AT THE ANNUAL WINEMAKERS’ INVITATIONAL BARBECUE COOK-OFF
PASO ROBLES, CA. AUGUST 13, 2005--What’s arguably the most fun night of the year for Paso Robles winemakers is also one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for our local high school. Each year, winemakers get down and dirty, serving gourmet food right off the grill while pairing it with their best wines. Sure, there may be bribes involved, but bragging rights last for 12 months and that’s not something to take lightly! Plus, each year, the event raises more than $25,000 for Paso Robles High School scholarships!
The annual Winemakers’ Invitational Barbecue Cook-off is now in its seventh year, and has raised more than $100,000 for Paso Robles High School scholarships awarded to outstanding seniors through the Harlow Ford Foundation.
This Paso Robles Rotary sponsored event sells out, so if you’d like to see 20 winery owners/winemakers duke it out for the top awards, get fired up and call 805-239-5155. Or log onto www.pasoroblesrotary.org. The event takes place at the Paso Robles Hot Springs and Spa located at 3725 Buena Vista Road in Paso Robles. Tickets are $60 each and include unlimited food and wine tasting.
