THE WINERIES OF 46EAST HOST 3RD ANNUAL ESPRIT DU VIN
Rub elbows with some of Paso Robles’ finest winemakers

PASO ROBLES – Winemakers and staff of the Wineries of 46East are gearing up for the third annual Esprit du Vin, set to be held January 14 – 17, 2005. A kick-off passport program is currently in full swing. Special events in January will include a Meet the Winemakers Reception and a Wine Tasting Summit, along with individual events hosted by the eleven member wineries.

Passports are currently available at member tasting rooms: Bianchi, Chumeia, Clautiere, Eberle, EOS, Martin & Weyrich, Meridian, Pretty-Smith, Robert Hall, Sylvester and Tobin James. Pick up your passport and have it stamped at all eleven wineries between now and the January event dates to be eligible to win great prizes. Passports are free and provide hours of entertainment!

On Friday January 14, Eberle Winery will open their beautiful caves as hosts of the Meet the Winemakers/Proprietors Reception from 6 – 8 p.m. All eleven wineries will pour their best offerings, and will share hors d’oeuvres each has created to pair with their wines. Tickets are available at Eberle Winery; cost is $50 per person. Contact number for tickets or more information is 805-238-9607.

Then on Saturday, the Wine Tasting Summit will be held at Meridian Vineyards from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Here’s a rare chance to be your own winemaker, as a unique blending experience has been added this year. Each participant will take home a bottle of their own blend. Cost is $60 per person. Tickets are available at Meridian and can be obtained by calling 805-226-7135.

Individual winery events reflect the diversity of the members of the 46East team! They include a brunch, a BBQ, barrel samplings, reserve tastings, open houses, winery tours, an aroma workshop, a French culinary tour, new release wines, an Italian dinner, a photography exhibit, a Sangiovese dinner, a French country lunch, an olive oil tasting, a cheese tasting, special wine sales, and even a Jesters Fair.

The Wineries of 46East reside in Paso Robles Wine Country, located halfway between Monterey and Santa Barbara, on California’s beautiful Central Coast. For detailed listings of wineries and events, please visit www.pasowine46east.com.
