PEST MANAGEMENT IN WINEGRAPES & VERTEBRATE PEST CONTROL TO BE COVERED IN QUALITY ALLIANCE SEMINAR
The Paso Robles Vintners and Growers Association (PRVGA) Quality Alliance in conjunction with the Central Coast Vineyard Team (CCVT) will host an educational seminar for winegrape growers entitled Pest Management in Winegrapes & Vertebrate Pest Control on Friday, March 5th.
Guest speakers will cover a variety of pest management topics including how to manage an effective spray program plus control methods for major pests of winegrapes: diseases, insects, mites, identification of beneficial insects, life cycles, monitoring & control methods. CCVT representatives will touch on the reduced risk approach to vertebrate pest management methods. Sponsors and chemical representatives will also be on hand to provide product information and label updates. Additionally, Pest Control Advisors (PCAâ€™s) have been approved for 3.5 units (1.5/laws & regulations and 2.0/other).
Pest Management in Winegrapes & Vertebrate Pest Control will be held at the Paso Robles Golf Club, 1600 Country Club Drive from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Breakfast will be provided preceding the seminar from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. There is no charge to PRVGA or CCVT members; $50 for the general public.
