The Central Coast Vineyard Team (CCVT) and the Paso Robles Vintners and Growers Association (PRVGA) Quality Alliance will co-host an informational seminar concerning the pending Ag Water Discharge Waiver and how CCVT may help them qualify. The "Vineyard Compliance with New Regional Water Quality Control Board Discharge Regulations" will take place Friday, February 6th, 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Paso Robles Library Conference Center.
Guest speaker Alison Jones (NPS Coordinator for the Regional Water Quality Control Board) will present the pending Ag Water Discharge Waiver, explain how growers can take part in Waiver discussion, answer any questions concerning the upcoming Waiver and its effects, as well as discuss how the Central Coast Vineyard Team may help you meet Waiver requirements. Kris O’Connor (Executive Director of the Central Coast Vineyard Team) will also be present to answer any questions and discuss how participation with CCVT could assist with Waiver compliance.
Additionally, Dawn Stimson (Project Coordinator for CCVT’s Clean Water Project) and Bob Thomas (Vineyard Manager for demonstration site) will present a Clean Water Project update, as well as successful vineyard practices being used in the project.
There is no cost to members of the CCVT or PRVGA ($50/nonmembers) although pre-registration is required by 5:00 p.m. on February 4th to (805) 239-8463 x400 or (805) 434-4848.
