HARVEST WINE WEEKEND
Harvest Wine Weekend
October 16 - 18, 2009
It’s 6 a.m. in Paso Robles Wine Country. The air is crisp and cool. Sound carries easily across the vineyards in the early hours, resonating the harmonics of harvest. Boots crunch in the rocky soil, cluster stems snap under knife, there’s a gentle pattering of grapes as they tumble into an open hopper, and the baritone baseline of engines rumble in the background. These are the sights and sounds classic to wine country during the annual harvest, an experience lived every autumn by those in the wine community.
We invite you to savor the sight, sound, smell and taste of harvest this October in Paso Robles Wine Country. The region comes alive with the birth of the next vintage and an abundance of opportunities to soak in the experience await you. Like grapes on the vine, the memories of the 2009 harvest will be ripe for the picking. All that is needed is you.
Make your plans to join us for the 2009 Harvest Wine Weekend, October 16 - 19 and bring your wine country experience to life when wineries open their doors to offer a cornucopia of activities unique to wine country. Harvest is the season when wineries bring to the forefront those rarely seen vineyard and crush activities for wine enthusiasts to appreciate. See and learn vineyard practices in motion, take part in a blending seminar, or jump feet first into a two ton grape stomp. The weekend is yours to plan, 6 a.m. optional.
